Asgard

The Realm of the Aesir Gods, Golden Kingdom of Norse Mythology

Asgard, Realm of the Gods

The Divine Realm

Asgard, the celestial stronghold of the Aesir gods, stands as one of the most magnificent of the Nine Worlds. Connected to Midgard by the rainbow bridge Bifrost, it is a realm of golden halls and divine splendor.

The realm is surrounded by a great wall, built by a giant craftsman and strengthened by the gods. Within these walls lie the numerous halls of the gods, including Odin's great hall Valhalla and Thor's massive estate Bilskirnir.

As the seat of the Aesir's power, Asgard serves as the center of divine authority in Norse mythology, where the gods gather in council at Thing-stead and make decisions affecting all Nine Worlds.
