Overview
Tanngniost (“Teeth-Gnasher”) and Tanngrisnir (“Teeth-Barer”) are the legendary goats who pull Thor’s chariot. Their hooves strike sparks across the sky as they race, accompanying the thunder god on his travels through Midgard and the nine realms.
But their most extraordinary trait is their ability to be eaten and resurrected. Each night, Thor slaughters the goats, cooks them, and shares the meal with his companions — only to revive them the next morning with a touch of Mjölnir, provided their bones remain unbroken.
These goats represent power, renewal, and Thor’s ever-ready ability to travel and feast, even in the harshest conditions.
