Nidavellir

The Subterranean Realm of Dwarves, Masters of Craft and Creation

Nidavellir, Realm of the Dwarves

Realm of the Dwarves

Nidavellir, sometimes called Svartalfheim in certain sources, is the subterranean realm inhabited by dwarves—legendary smiths, engineers, and craftsmen of Norse mythology. This world lies deep beneath the surface, filled with forges, caverns, and workshops illuminated by molten metal and brilliant craftsmanship.

Dwarves in this realm are not small, comic figures but powerful master artisans responsible for creating some of the greatest treasures of the gods: Mjolnir, Odin’s spear Gungnir, and Freyr’s golden boar, Gullinbursti.

Nidavellir is a place of ingenuity and relentless craft—its halls echo with the sound of hammers, wheels, and fire. In its shadowed passages dwell some of the most gifted—and dangerous—beings in the Nine Realms.
