Skadi in Norse Mythology

Skadi

Skadi was the Goddess of Winter and of the Hunt. She was married to Njord, the gloomy Sea God, noted for his beautiful bare feet (which is how Skadi came to choose him for her mate). The marriage wasn’t too happy. Njord thought that the home of Skadi in the land of the giants was to cold and deserted. While Skadi didn’t like the noise and fuss of the shipbuilding around Njords home, Noatun in Asgard.
